RESEARCH IN PREPARATION
Two questions.
Two distinct studies.
One asks whether a short course and online study journey are practical. The other asks how to measure what helps and hinders using parenting skills at home.
PREPARING · NOT RECRUITING1. Everyday Parenting: Small Steps at Home
A planned four-week feasibility study for parents of children aged 6–12. The comparison is access now or access after the main follow-up, assigned at random.
The first goals are participation, completion, acceptability and data quality. Changes in parenting measures would be exploratory.
DESIGN STAGE · NOT RECRUITING2. Parenting skills in daily life
A proposed measurement-development study about what makes it easier or harder to use skills learned in a self-guided programme. Early work would examine the questions with parents and researchers before larger testing.
Existing diaries and scales will be compared. No claim is made that the new instrument is validated or better than existing tools.
Save this study in my account →Your choice comes before allocation.
You may express interest in a study. Joining requires its separate information, eligibility checks and consent. If you join the course study, its immediate or later access group is assigned at random; it is not a choice of preferred treatment.
Participation in both projects will be managed in the protocols to avoid burden and keep the measurements interpretable.
Who is developing the work?
Alexander Kuznetsov, 5 Steps Academy, Singapore, is the project author and developer. He is also the creator of DoctorPapa and the school's director. These roles will be disclosed in study documents. Independent ethics review and review of course and measurement methods are pending.
